Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure that we can use to fill in cracks, chips, and inconsistencies in your teeth to give you a more perfect smile. We can even use dental bonding to fill in gaps between teeth, or to change the shape of a tooth that doesn’t look right. To accomplish all of this we use composite resin, which is the same material that we use for tooth-colored fillings. The application process involves adding a bit of texture to the teeth that we will be applying the bond to. In order to make these surfaces rougher, we use a mildly acidic solution on the surfaces that will receive the bond. With dental bonding we can:
• Altering the shape of a tooth
• Filling unsightly gaps
• Repairing damage caused by decay
• Visibly fixing alignment issues
Dental Crowns
When a tooth doesn’t have enough of its original structure left due to trauma or decay we can often save it with the help of a crown. Crowns are dental restorations that are specially crafted to look and feel just like the tooth that we are saving. Once the crown has been crafted, we will make sure that the crown can comfortably fit over your tooth before we place it permanently.
Crowns are used to:
• Protect and restore a fractured tooth
• Restore a tooth that has suffered from decay
• Protect a tooth that has experienced physical trauma
• Cover a tooth that is unsightly
• Finish a dental implant
• Act as a dental bridge to cover a gap of missing teeth
